About Us

After winning four gold medals in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, Lenny Krayzelburg knew he wanted to continue to have a presence in the swimming world and create something impactful that could make a difference in children’s lives. Recognizing the need for a high-quality program to teach children a lifesaving skill, Lenny started two swim academies in Los Angeles in 2005. The success in Los Angeles was contagious and led to a licensing partnership with the Jewish Community Centers (JCC), opening the first partner location in 2009 and eventually growing to 11 swim schools across the United States.

The early-learning swim program is based on our own proprietary teaching curriculum, The SwimRight® Method. The purpose of the SwimRight® Method is to implement the swim-float-swim technique as a foundation, and then focus on providing children with increased confidence and knowledge that they are safe in and around the water. This unique swimming lesson approach is taught by certified, caring, and committed instructors who remain in the water with the children at all times. Our swimming lessons take students starting as young as 3 months old from the beginning stages of swimming all the way to learning all four strokes.

Since its inception in 2005, our swim schools have taught tens of thousands of kids life-saving water safety skills in a safe and kid-friendly environment. Realizing the impact we have already made, but more importantly acknowledging an opportunity to make an even greater difference nationwide, in 2019 we rebranded our company to SwimRight Academy Championed by Lenny Krayzelburg and launched a franchise offering.

Given Lenny’s deep connection to the Jewish community, the original licensing model branded Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy will continue to exist, but will be reserved exclusively for JCCs across North America.

Our brand name - SwimRight Academy championed by Lenny Krayzelburg - speaks clearly and simply to our daily mission of teaching kids how to swim the RIGHT way.

Our core purpose is to teach and inspire everyone to be water safe!

SwimRight is an impressive institution. It's an understatement to say it's a well-oiled machine. They focus on safety with their swimmers, and our 5-month-old loves her classes. This is one of the only places in LA that will teach infants, and they do a great job. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We love it here!  Stephanie W

We are very pleased with the clean and modern facilities, well-designed program of instruction, and emphasis on safety.  The progressive program of advancement (as signified by swim cap color) really works for my kids, who are very goal-oriented.  My children each take private lessons once a week.  Our instructors are very dedicated, conscientious and caring.  They make sure that the child has truly mastered a particular swim skill before earning their achievement sticker.  Andrew B

OMG!!!! LOVE this place :)) My baby and I go to the infant swim class and it's so much fun. The instructors are all super cool, the place is clean, reasonably priced, the water is uber warm (90 degrees) and best of all saline (not chlorine). The highlight of our week!!!  Ed F

I personally love SwimRight Academy! They have wonderful and friendly staff working there, plus a clean, large pool. I enjoy going there with my daughter and son. My kids love their coaches, they are sweet, kind, and very professional! Lusya S

SwimRight Academy offers extremely talented and amazing instructors who work well with children at all ages and skill levels. We highly recommend this swim school. It has boosted our daughter's self esteem and confidence to excel at this sport. We have really enjoyed our lessons and have been going for 5 years now. My daughters (ages 5 and 7) now swim better than me!!!  Melissa M
